Mark There is another older meaning of the word skär. It comes from cleaning ceremonies, to skära. For example we still call the thursday in easter week skärtorsdag since the times when Sweden was a catholic country. (from E.Schön - folktro i Bohuslän). So if you want a translation, I suggest something like Cleaning pool Regards Harriet
