Ted you have the correct Carl Johan.He was my grandfather's brother. Carl Johan's father's bouppteckning, 1880 said that both Carl Johan and my grandfather were in America
Pernilla Bollman checked the Rullerum church records for me and said that for some reason Carl Johan was kept on the household record till 1885 when it said utstruken even though it also recorded the following: - he was in Rullerum Dec. 1869. (I know he lived with a relative at that time.) -household record 1861-1871 had a note about him which said that he had moved to America. - household record 1872-1876 next to his name was Flyttat till America utan besked. - every household record till 1885 said he had moved to America. I have concluded that he probably left for America 1870-1871. His relatives left Rullerum for Gryt parish in 1872.
