Thanks Jan, I'm taking some good advice and going back over my notes. I have: Erick E. Wallin was confirmed in Alfta Sweden in March of 1880 and married Ellen E. Dahivig on May 11, 1888. She was born Oct. 1866 in Malmo, Sweden. According to the U.S. census they emigrated to the U.S. in 1884. A Feb. 12, 1953 newspaper clipping stated Erick and his sister Carrie arrived in 1883. I'll go with the census date of 1884. Thanks again for your help, I'll do some more digging. Paul Wallin
