With connection to salmon fishing it should be Tana fjord in northern Norway the mouth of river Tana. There is also a small island (holme) named Gullholmen (Gull = gold). (Location as from Google maps = 70.486851, 28.340683) So if your GGGF had connection to Norway, this might be the place...
