But I was having trouble with this gentleman, and not reading Swedish doesn't help. I presume his surname was changed to Vikander when he joined the military, as many were. But do you have any clues as to why Vikander was chosen? A farm name, or military expression perhaps? I know some of his siblings took the same name when they arrived in Canada. Thanks once again.. Your help is most appreciated.
