You don't say in which part of Sweden you observed the use of kyrkladan. If searching Ortnamnarkivet three different exists. Those are all very old but still existing barns (in some case moved from original location). Most probably those was not used for living. A guess is that a location/torp/farm has been refered to as Kyrkladan. So if you specify where, it will be more easy to give a more accurate answer.
