It is difficult to determine, from the photo, how large the interior of the kyrkladan might be. I thought perhaps someone living in Sweden might have viewed one of these structures. My husband's father spent his first 6 years living in a one-room log cabin - father, mother, and 3 children - so I know a family can occupy a small space. Perhaps there were different size kyrkladan ? I had not previously seen a mantalslängder using kyrkladan to describe a family's home, so was curious about the description.
