Hello, I can't tell you a whole lot, but here are some pieces. I am the surviving brother of Callen and Curry. Our father was Callen Radcliffe Tjader Sr. Cal the first born was Cal Jr. Our great grand father was Anton Tjader who emmigrated from Sweden via Russia in the Middle of the 19th century. He was a surgeon schooled in medicine in Stockholm. He was a contract surgeon to the Russian Army and came to the US to continue his studies at Harvard Medical School. Our mother was of Scottish descent. Cal was born in St. Louis Mo. at a time when our parents were travelling in vaudville. Back to Anton, he is buried in Carson City Nevada And the headstone mistakenly identifies his birthplace as Russia.
