It sounds like your Wennerström family is the one from Värmland/Bergslagen, which according to all information I have seen isn't the same family as Stig's. I have done research on this family, including on this forum. The first known man who took the name Wennerström in Värmland was called Lars Hallorsson Wennerström. He was the son of a soldier Hallor Arvidsson. When Hallor was first registered in the army roll he was written as Hallor Arvidsson Bratt, but he had to change his last name to indicate his hometown Nybble. He was therefore called Nybbelman. But when he quit the army he dropped the name Nybbelman and was thereafter only called Arvidsson. Hallor died the same year his son Lars was born (1711).
