In this case a statue would cause great damage to Swedish medieval- and person history. The fable of Fale Bure in medieval Birsta is Sweden's most well known and stubborn history falsification, which for 400 years have spread throughout litterature and now the Internet, pesting all serious research about medieval northern Sweden.
In the last ten years academic researchers have managed to dampen the advocation of this fable. Today only a tiny group of people believe in the fable. To allow a statue being built would be to give air to this movement and cause damage to serious historic research for a long time to come.
