Ang namnet Rafsten och dess uppkomst så fick jag följande historia från en Rafstensättling i USA:
Per was in the calvary during the war, he became seperated from his group. While trying to find the rest of his group he wandered upon the enemies camp where he overheard the enemy talking about taking over a girl's school ran by nuns. They were going to make the school their headquarters. Per left and found the rest of his group and told his leader what he heard. Per's group made it to the school before the enemy, and prevented the enemy from taking over the school. They won the battle by barricading themselves in the school and preventing the enemy from taking over the school. The school was surrounded by a fence with the gate having an oval amber stone on the front of it. Per was knighted by the king and called the Knight of the amber stone after the amber stone on the gate.
