Adham,
As I understand from some of your other questions, we are talking about the surgeon (fältskär) Martin Pihl (1732?-1798), who died in Ängelholm but previously was living in Färingtofta and Malmö. He served in the army but as surgeon the name Pihl probably wasn't a soldier's name (as descibed by Leif above), more likely a genuine family name.
Perhaps you should outline what you know about Martin Pihl so far, and maybe we can help find his roots.
