Hi Barry, about Your Swedish Roots versus Cradled in Sweden, if I remember correctly (I'm not at home now so don't have them in front of me) Your Swedish Roots focuses mainly on household examination, birth, marriage, and death records while Cradled in Sweden also covers other records like tax records, estate records, and military records. Cradled in Sweden also has some good resources such as a tool for calculating dates from feast days (you probably haven't encountered those yet, they're mostly in the older records from 18th century and earlier) and an alphabetical list of all the parishes that gives their county, province and district.
Like you I'm also an American, one-half 2nd generation -- my father's parents emigrated from Blekinge and Skåne to Massachusetts in the 1890's.
