Johanna Mathilda Solomonson, my great grandmother, was born 10 June 1842 on a farm near Linkoping, Ostergotland. She had two sisters according to our family's oral history. One I am sure of: Sophia who was born 30 March 1845. Johanna and Sophia emigrated in 1868. They were both married in Illinois and settled on adjoining homesteads in northwest Iowa in 1870. I noticed that Linkoping is also the name of a parish and wonder if that parish includes some surrounding rural areas? I have no more information and wonder if anyone can use the rather sketchy facts to fill in missing information.
