Maria Catharina Törnros gave birth to her illegitimate son Gustaf Adolf 1827 26/1. When he moved from Nykyrka parish to Tärnö in Husby-Oppunda parish in 1841 he had changed his last name to Fahlberg. His son Gustaf Alfred changed back to Törnros in 1890-91 (according to the household examination roll for Göteborg Kristine 1890- 97).
It's impossible to know why Gustaf Adolf changed his name: perhaps his father's name was Fahlberg or he wanted a different name than his mother/maternal grandfather to not alert anyone to the fact that he was illegitimate or he liked Fahlberg better than Törnros or...
