Thanks so much for looking anyway. I really don't know about his parents however I'm inclined to agree with you, and that is that he came by himself. He was 20 years old at the time. On his naturalisation certificate it says he arrived by the Sir Robert Peel from Gotteburg in 1856. I really don't know what else to look for!! What about the household examination records for Lysekil in 1835/36, could that be an option?
