On christmas day [Dec 25, 1872] JHR stole some money from the locked chest belonging to his flatmate, seaman Johan Edvard Gillberg from Tjörnö parish, in the flat at Tyggårdsgatan 4. He had promised to keep the key to the chest. He took 10 or 15 riksdaler in swedish coins, and 4 £ in gold coin. When he was arrrested a few days later, he still had the english coins -- the swedish money he had spent on a lady living at Tyggårdsgatan.
