Leif and Anders, Thank you for your responses. Martin Pihl was my 5th great-grandfather, and I have a few questions about him and his family that I'm enjoying researching. I know that at some point he and/or his descendants spent time in Färingtofta. I recently did a DNA test that comes up with matches to current residents of the same area, but we have not yet found the common ancestor, so that's one angle I'm looking at. Also, it seems that he spent time in Swedish Pomerania and that his wife was German, so I'm interested in that part of Swedish history and how people of the day were affected by the wars and territorial changes.
