Could someone please help me translate these words? I can't find them in my dictionary.
snörstump
spinrock
fingo
inföll
enär

snörstump = a piece of string
spinnrock = spinning wheel
fingo (fick) = recieved, got, acquired
inföll = fell
enär = because

Hi Mary,
I have translated two of the words for you. However, could you please tell me in which context 'enär' and 'inföll' are used? If you could let me have all of the sentence(s) in which these words appear it would make it a lot easier to know exactly what is meant.
Snörstump= a small piece of string
Spinnrock= Spinning wheel

The sentence I have with inföll is this
Sök den och den platsen då och då. Lotskaptenen inföll; Och jag skall tillstyrka ansökan.

Hi Mary,
It might be a good idea not to just accept that 'enär' is the same as 'because' in this instance, unless you are very sure ofcourse. If you had accepted Bo's first translation of 'inföll' you would have had The Captain Pilot fall, which makes no sence. It is quite correct to say 'put in', but there is also the word 'interposed' which, please forgive me Bo, I think is even better.
