My great grandmother Sofia Karolina Nyberg was born in Hollsten Kyrkefalla Skaraborgs.I would like to know if Hollsten was a village or a farm name. Does this place still exist today and any other information about this area. Where I might find a map showing this location.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Kyrkafalla (since 1947 named Tibro) was a parish in Skaraborg county (Skaraborg is since 1998 part of Västra Götaland county).
There is a place (farm) named Holstein in Olofsby village in Kyrkefalla(Tibro) parish.
Here are two maps, note that the placename Holstein is not visible on them:
lantmateriet.se
hitta.se (mouse over the center of the map, and the name label will be visible)

Holstein is probably a very small farm. In an register for names of places i Kyrkefalla, it is called a croft = torp, in swedish.

I send by separate e-mail a detailed old map with Holstein - Grafvens rote. A smaller version is here:

Many thanks. I also see a place called Nyberget near Hollstein, Gram Sofia's brother owned a place by that name....so I'm sure this is right.
I appreciate everyone's help!

Candace, I checked with a friend of mine in Tibro (Kyrkefalla) if there still is a place called Hollstein. My friend forwarded my question to someone living nearby. The answer in translation:
Hello!
The house is the one where the road to Olofsby is leaving the Mofalla road (Mofallavägen).
Opposite Karlsten where the art gallery is.
So, it seems that the house Hollstein still exists. I can't tell you if it is the original house or what state it is in.
