An 1850 church record refers to a Baptism witness being from Petersberg. The place of birth and probably the Baptism was in, or near, Vimmerby in Kalmar Län. I do not find a Petersberg on my maps. Is, or was, there such a place? If so, where?
Thanks for any information.

Hi Harold!
There is a farm called Petersberg in Vena parish in Kalmar county (län). It's not too far from Vimmerby.

There is (or was) also a small croft in Horn parish, Östergötland´s län (Horn in the border of Östergötland´s län next to Kalmar län, and rather close to Vimmerby), called Petersberg (Pettersberg) or Petersborg. I don´t know if the croft still exists.

Thanks for the response. The birth date of the person baptized was 1850 13/9. The name of the child baptized was Carl Edvard Tigerström.
The name of the witness was Torpare Aug. Vilhelmsson i Petersberg.
