Hi,
I am looking for emigration and family information of Carl Johan Börjesson.
Born 26 jan 1850 in Hessleby parish in Smaland
He was an officer in the US Navy and as a civil servant at the railway, maybe in Chicago, Il.
and
Gustaf Börjesson born 30 oct 1825 in Hessleby parish in Smaland and his wife Stina Carin Andersdotter born 31 dec 1824 in Bellö Smaland.
They have 3 children all of them born in Hessleby Johanna Sophia Börjessdotter b. 14 aug 1851, Christina Börjessdotter b. 13 dec 1853 and Petter Johan Börjesson all of them living in Boone, Iowa

I don't see these people on the Emibas cd.
If you have someone who worked for the railroad in Chicago and if he worked at the Pullman Car Works, it is always possible his employment records can be found at the South Suburban Genealogical and Historical Society. The lookup to see if he is in the records would be free (but you need to send a stamped, self addressed envelope). If he is found, then there is a fee for a copy of the records.

Hello,
A family from the farm where I was born, Sjöarp Edshult parish, also emigrated to Boone in the following year, 1866. More on my homepage Swedish info about the emigrants from Sjöarp and list of the emigrants from Edshult.
Edshult parish is boarding to the parishes mentioned above.
I have found descendents from the Sjöarp family that still live in Boone, Iowa.
