Does anyone know a good place to find out where specific farms were located? Or towns that don't seem to appear on Google maps?

You mention specific farms - does that mean you know the name of the Swedish county where
such farm(s) might be located ? This is an excellent Forum in which to begin your search - post
a message, naming the particular farm you seek and the County. Perhaps someone reading your
post will already know the place. I've had good luck finding a Google map of a particular farm,
after determining the nearest large town or village. Good luck in your search.

I've been looking for a farm or village called Fredsburg in Vastra Gotland, where my g-g-grandmother was born. There seemed to be much back-and-forth between Lyrestand and Hassle with her parents, so it must be nearby. Is anyone familiar with Fredsburg?

It must be Fredsberg, a parish in Skaraborg county east the town Mariestad, landscape Västergötland
The places Hassle and Lyrestad only 8 kilometers from Fredsberg.
If you have the name of your g-g-grandmother perhaps we can find more about her relatives.

Rune, thank you very much for your help! Would you be kind enough to post a link to a map (if you have one) that shows the location of Fredsberg in Skaraborg Co? That must certainly be the place I've been looking for! :-)

As you can see it is located northeast of the town Mariestad. The name of the province is Västergötland. /Hans
