I wrote a large post in USA H-J and when I tried to post all it would show in the preview was

Lars has answered your question, but if you just want the basic sense of an error message, try using Google Translate. (Put the word translate into Google.)
 
You will usually get a rough (and sometimes weird) translation but the words you highlighted above are translated as the following using Google Translate.

Berry: I might explain a detail concerning the no of caracters in the heading.
The limit is as mentioned by previous two posters to regular users, but admin and moderators
can exceed it. I usually try to avoid using that, but in cases when transfering a thread,
I sometimes find it neccessary to make it clear - so it was in this case ...
