My name is Rob Erickson. My great-grandfather was John Erickson, born about 13 May 1860 in Holmrud, Brålanda, Dalsland.
My great-grandmother was Christina Olson, born about 13 February 1861 in Holmrud, Brålanda, Dalsland.
They emigrated to the United States in 1880-1882 and were married in Landrus, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, USA, in about 1884.
John died 14 January 1929 in Jamestown, New York, USA. Christina died 31 August 1922, also in Jamestown.
I am looking to confirm their dates of birth and birthplaces and to identify their parents and other family members.
Any help would be appreciated.

The Brålanda birth records in _scb Älvsborg births 1860 (GID 100015.56.45100) has no John (Johan, Johannes, Jonas, etc.) born 13 May 1860.
There is an Anders Johan, born 9 Feb 1860 to Erik Andersson and Kajsa Jansdotter at Hinsetakan.
He does have a connection to Holmrud, the family moves to Holmerud 1864, see Brålanda HFL AI:19 1861-1865 page 170 (GID 586.40.49000).
Could he be your John Erickson?

Also no Christina born 13 Feb 1861, but there is one Christina born 12 Feb 1861 to Olof Mattson and Beda(?) Johansdotter at Hinsetakan.
The family can be found in Brålanda HFL AI:19 page 172 (GID 586.40.49200) at Hinsetakan.
This Christina Olsdotter is still unmarried when she leaves Hinsetakan in November 1886 for America, see Brålanda HFL AI:24 page 114 (GID 586.42.52600).

I have found a Johannes born on May 13, 1860 in Erikstad. His parents are E. Jansson and K Svensdotter. Unfortunately I cannot read from where in Erikstad. If someone more familiar with the area could look and write what it says, it would be possible to go on from there.

Thank you for all the replies. Rigmor Andersson sent me copies of the records for both families. John was from Erikstad and Christina was from Hinsetakan.
This is the first time that our family has been able to reconnect with our Swedish roots.
