I am looking for my ancestors who came from Sweden. I have a record of Svante Johan (John) Lindstrom, born August 3, 1840 in Ostergotland. He left Sweden for the USA May 11, 1868. He settled near Elgin, Illinois and married Christina Olsen/Olson about December of 1869. John stayed with his sister in Elgin whose name was Christina Elizabeth Lindstrom and had married a Nels Peter Johnson. The death record for Christina Lindstom indicates she was born August 1, 1823 in Linkopin, Sweden. Nels Peter Johnson was born January 13, 1819 in Sweden. I know John Lindstrom also had at least two older brothers and a sister who died young. I am a great grandson of John Lindstrom and am looking for any additional information on my ancestors. I have been unable to find them in my attempted searchs of the records. Thanks.
