Hi

I am looking for information about Oluf Åkerberg born in Skåne about 1719-1721. I am interested in the time periods before the year 1753 and after 1760. I do know that that he served as a soldier in "Änkedrottningens livregimente sk. Hamiltons regimente" in Finland. He was recruited in 1746 and obviously moved to Sveaborg/Finland in 1753. He was moved ("debarkerad") back to Sweden in June 1759 (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/A0052372_00017#?c=&m=&s=&cv=16&xywh=-1707%2C-295%2C9868%2C5893) and was registered in Stockholm in 1760 (https://sok.stadsarkivet.stockholm.se/Bildregistrering/Mantalsregister/redigera.aspx?bild=M176019010001.JPG).

According to Wikipedia (https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%84nkedrottningens_livregemente) the regiment was established in 1742 in Southern Sweden. I have tried to find it in Armens rullor but not found anything before the year 1756.

Do You know which archives should I focus on (military and civil) and what was the name of the regiment before 1756? Which archives are the right ones to continue to follow his steps in Stockholm after the year 1760?

BR Petri

Take a look at these books, if the link is working properly:

Are you sure he was recruited in 1746? In the list you posted he had number 87 in 1st Majorens kompani, but he was not there in 1757. An Oluf Moring had the job then, but he just died. I know it's the right regemente because the man above Olof Åkerberg in the list, number 80, Eric Lind, is present in 1757. It looks rather like Oluf Åkerberg was recruited in 1757, after Oluf Moring died.

Tack Kalle

His number was 108 in 1756 "mönstering" and for some reason 87 in the "debarkerad" list. I have not found him in the later books. I´ll walk throug the books behind the link, it works properly.

Do You have any idea which books in Stokcholm I should take a look at to find his path after 1760?

Petri
