On the congregational record shown by the link below, it appears "Perers" is added as a surname to several family members. Is this just a random act or does it have some basis?

This looks like a "gårdsnamn", "farm name". It would (at least in Dalarna) mostly go before the name, but in this case they have taken it as a family name, as the notes say ("Antagit släknamnet Perers") .
