In doing research, I found that a number of my relatives lived in Ockelbo (Gävleborg) before 1895. I have a problem researching these people because the records that riksarkivet has for the parish start in the 1890s. Do you know whether this is a case where the records pre-1895 were lost/destroyed? Or, are the records stored under some other parish's name?
Thank you.

Ockelbo parish has medieval origins under the name Ugglebo parish which was changed to the current one June 1, 1883. From the parish was broken in 1797 Åmots parish.

The old church records were destroyed in a fire in 1904.
Copies of births, marriages and deaths were sent to SCB (Statistiska Centralbyrån), beginning in 1860:

And copies of household records every ten years:

Thank you for your help. I would not have found that on my own.
