Titel: Elbr. i husförhörslängder
Skrivet av: Robert Johnson skrivet 2021-03-15, 21:51
Can someone please tell me what Elbr. stands for? I am seeing it used in a few husförhörslängder in southern Sweden. It is always in front of husman. It may be replaced by GHS (Gatehus?) in some cases in later husförhörslängder. It is very common in these records.
Here is an example Gustav Adolf (L) AI:4 (1845-1855) Bild 130 / sid 252 (AID: v99386.b130.s252, NAD: SE/LLA/13126)

Hi

Do you also tell us the place and the name of the person you are looking for? This does not work with your reference.
For these types of abbreviations you always need the context.

The reference is correct. I get the same image as the screenshot when I look it up for Gustav Adolf (Viby) in AD.

However, someone else will have to explain the actual word before his name... :)
