Attached is a 1723 tax record for Sickinge in Ljungby parish. Will someone confirm/correct my understanding of this record? There is a 4 year gap since the last available tax record so your help would be appreciated very much.
The 1723 tax record lists:
Widow Margareta
Dräng Oluf, Carl(?) (there is only 1 mark but it looks like there are two of them)
Looks like Pär and Erik or ? (but again there is just one mark)
Pigan Britta
Soldier Liung?'s wife?

Again, your help is much appreciated.
Thanks again,
Vicki

You got the names right, except that the soldiers name is Liunggreen.
This is a special tax record, for "lön - och betalningsavgiften". Not a mantalslängd, where the numbers show the number of persons. This record shows how much they should pay. The first column is daler, and the second is öre. 1 daler = 32 öre.
Page 231 shows how much members of "Bondeståndet" (peasents) should pay: 1 daler for a man, and 16 öre for a woman. But it says on page 234 that this year they should only pay half that sum.

Jörgen, is your reply applicable also for topic https://forum.rotter.se/index.php?topic=175119.0
I don't have access to AD so I might have fooled Victoria in my reply just looking into the attached pictures.

No, that other record shows the number of persons.

Thank you for clarifying my translation and for this very helpful and interesting information that I have not previously encountered in my research.
It is difficult to understand all of this so I appreciate the help from both of you!
Thanks again,
Vicki
