Can someone translate the details of Simon Jacobsson's death record from 28 Jan 1713? There is a lot of details there some of which I have seen in various trees. Thanks.

Pretty neat story there. He was born 1639 in "Wibors sochn" at Warschau, Poland. Warschau is german for Warsaw, the polish capital, but I don't know about Wibor. It reminds me of Viborg, close to saint Petersburg, these days in Russia. Quite some distance from Warsaw though.
His father was Jacobo, one of the king's officers. Hes mother was Kirstin Nilsdotter, wich sounds very swedish. He was taken prisoner (1648?) by a swedish quartermaster and given to the royal officer Nils Kagg at Kiölsarp(?). He worked for this baron for 11 years. After that he was given to a Linnard Posse at Hellekijs, Hällekis at lake Vänern. There he worked 16 years as a fisherman, and was given some land that he cleared and built his home, called Fiskaretorpet. When he was 31 years old he married Gunla Andersdotter, lived with her for two years at a place called Giösäter, until he got that land and they moved there. They got one son and four daughters of wich three daughters were still alive. 74 years old when he died.

Thank you very much for the translation. Much more like an obituary but it confirms and expands on the information I saw elsewhere but without reference. I wish more priests took the time to provide such detailed histories of people lives.
