I think I've found a birth record that I've been looking for but it is confusing to me in the way it is written up. Can someone confirm that the birth record attached and highlighted shows the birth information for:
18 Apr (1738) born to Per Jönsson a child in Össjöa and baptized ?? with the name Jöns. This is followed by the list of sponsors.
This was easy to miss and wonder why it was recorded that way - were 2 children baptized same day?

Any help would be much appreciated!

It looks correct to me.
Two children were baptized the same day, Tredje söndagen efter påska, third sunday after easter.
Your two question marks: samma söndag, same sunday.
I agree that it was a very strange way to record the event...
The place is spelled Ösia, I guess Össjöa is the modern spelling.

Thank you very much!
Over the past 2 days I've been able to go back another generation using the tax records for this family and other techniques I've been learning from all of you. I had set it aside earlier thinking I might never be able to go back any farther!
Thank you so much,
