I should have asked this question awhile ago. The people listed on a page in a household examination book... are they living in the same house? In some of the books, my family is the only one listed on the page. Yet in other books, there are multiple families. Are they living in an apartment building?
Also, is it possible to know the address of the houses today?
Thanks.

No general answer to those questions, on one property there could be several houses or one house with more than one household. Often you can find today's address, make a specific question.

I have attached Erik Nordlander and his family living in the Strömnäs Ångsåg in the Gudmundrå Parish, 1884 - 1888. There is a second family listed on the page. Is there any way to know the location of where they are living?
Thanks.

Strömnäs ångsåg was a little sawmill town. It was started in 1871 so by the mid 1880s there probably was some kind of dedicated labourers barracks.

So the family was not living in a house but some sort of barracks? And do you know if the buildings are still there? If so, I would like to see them when I visit Sweden, hopefully next summer.
Thank you.

I don't know exactly what kind of accommodation the workers got, or what is left of it now. This is in Ådalen region, infamous for the military shooting five protesters during a general strike in 1931. Should be some museum covering it, so worth a visit if you come to Sweden.
