I need help reading attached marriage record (Vrå (G) C:1 (1701-1823) Image: 12 Page: 17). I think it says the marriage took place December (ditto from previous record) 28 between (?) Lars Pårsson of Norr Emeboda and ? Kirsten Eriksdotter from ?hult.
What does it say before Lars' name? What does it say before Kirsten's name? What is the name of where she is from? I can't figure out what the letter that looks like a 2 is. :)
Any help would be appreciated!

d: 28 Dito, Wigdes Änckomannen Lars Pärßon i Norra Emboda, med
Änckan Kierstin Ericks dotter ifrån Gunnhult.
A widower and a widow were married.
"2": It´s the squiggle above the "u".
Pärsson and not Pårsson. Å/å makes the pronunciation more towards "o".

Thanks so much! How interesting. I'll keep working on the å and ä. :-[

You are making progress with the å and ä! :)
It´s difficult to distinguish an å from an ä in the old handwritten texts. But we as indigenous Perssons know that the pronunciation of Pärsson is the same as that of Persson.
