Attached is a copy of a 1745 marriage record that I need help with. The marriage is between a Jön Jönsson from ? and maiden Britta ? from Kånna Norrgård.
I'm trying to figure out where the groom is from and what the bride's patronymic name is.
I have also attached their son's birth record (Sten Jönsson) which lists his parents names but I can't tell what his mother's patronymic name is there either. It looks like maybe Pavelsdtr or Paulsdtr??

I put attached the wrong version of their marriage record - attached is the correct one... sorry for the error.

The son, Sten, is named after his maternal grandfather - - compare how his name is written with his mother's patronymic 8)

The place Jöns Jönsson comes from is Sickinge in Ljungby "socken", part of the same "pastorat" (which also translates as "parish" -- Kånna, Angelstad and Ljungby). Sickinge apparently was a (the?) chaplains place in Ljungby -- now their main business is a riding school. You'll find it just to the north-east of Ljungby town.
A Jöns Jönsson is mentioned in the tax records for Sickinge in 1744 and 1745 without a wife, 1746 - 1749 with a wife, and in 1750 they're gone -- presumably to Kånna Norregård. I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader :)

Where would I be able to view these tax records you have referenced? I haven't been able to find tax records for those early years for Ljungby in Kronoberg in AD - maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? I have been looking under the parish Ljungby in Kronoberg but the tax records listed are all much newer than that.

Thank you for the links you sent. I found the books on AD and see that they have all of the parishes in Kronoberg (they are not listed on the individual parish page that I could find). I should be able to find other tax records also now. that's a great help!
I have just started looking at these and will have more questions as this is my first exposure to tax records.
