Attached is an image from the 1789 population registry for Brandstad.
The entry is for Rasmus Bonnesson. He is the second entry for house number 11.
I believe it says Reserve man Rasmus Bonnesson, wife one child.
The hi-lighted word I am unsure of looks like "karlen". The first letter does not look like a K it looks more like a C. I believe "karlen" translates to man. So it looks live he is a reserve soldier.
Am I correct in my translation?
Also what are the letters before his name? It appears on a lot of the entries on the sheet.
Here is the link to the Swedish National Archives page

Thanks,

I agree, but Karlen is spelled Carlen, which is possible. If you had told which volume and page it is in, it had been easier to compare with other words.

Thanks for confirming my translation. I do see another entry on the same page at Number 13 with the same letter C. I traced that person forward and it is Pehr Christofsson. Unfortunately I don't know what the volume is for this book, I just have the link to the page.
Thanks again for the suggestion.
