Titel: Help translating name and note on tax record

Attached are two images from the tax record for Brandstad 1788.

I am not sure of the name in the first image.  It is either Påhl Torkelsson or Pehr Torkelsson.
Does it say wife and child or wife and children?
Can anyone translate the message from the second image too?

It is the tenth line under number 25.

First image: Påhl Törkelsson, married, one child.

Not sure about the second one.
