Titel: Help Translating Entry for 1872 Inflyttning Record
Skrivet av: John Friberg skrivet 2019-06-13, 02:36

Hej,

I am looking at an 1872 move-in record for a Johan Carl Johansson, who moved from Kinna to Fritsla. There is a long entry just before his name, on the prior page, next to a young girl named Agnes. It looks as if it might reference Johan Carl Johansson in the note, although I cannot quite tell. Can anyone help me with a translation of this rather unusual looking notation for Agnes, to determine if Agnes is connected to Johan Carl in some way? I have attached a close up view of the relevant section of the page with Agnes at the bottom. Tack så mycket. John

No, this is not at all related to Johan Carl Johansson. Agnes is an abandoned child and it is about her history. You probably see Carl Johan, but it is Karl Johans parish in Göteborg.

Many thanks for your helpful reply, Leif. I wondered if they were connected somehow, and really appreciate your translation assistance to confirm they were not.

With appreciation,
