I wanted to ask for help to read a birth record to see if I can find out the father's father's name somehow.
The church record books in the Parish of Färlöv are missing from I think 1704 to 1760 not quite sure so I cannot find any further information.
I have the birth record of the child and I have the marriage record of the father, but I am trying desparately to find information from these two records about the father's parents. And the mother's birth place from the marriage record.
This is what I was able to decipher (I think) myself.
Birth record:
1769 6. February
Kristinstads Lan
Lasse Bengtson - Kerstina Torkelsdotter - Färlöv
Baptized ---- Name OLA Elna Hansdotter? from Färlöf
Witness Nils Olsson Simon Jönsson -alena Lassedotter from Färlöf young woman
---------------- dotter from Bjierlöv.
Marriage record:
Lasse Bengtson from Färlöv Kirstina Torkelsdotter from ?
That is all I can make out ....can you help me?
Thank you Heidi

"Avkunnas till thet heliga äktenskapsståndet 1sta 2dra 3dje gången för drängen ärliga och beskiedelige Lasse Bengtsson från Färlöf, med pigan ärliga och gudfruktiga Kierstina Torkelsdotter där sammastädes."
The marriage record doesn't really say anything of value, other than that they were both from Färlöv.

:) And thank you for the information on the marriage record, I guess the parents did not need to be present!

They should have been. :)

Do you know the birth year for Lasse and Kerstina? If not, you have them here, as well as the death date for Lasse:

Wow you are fantastic!! Thank you so much for the Link! :) But some of the things are really hard for me to read. :-\
Is the last column on each page the death date or the moving out date?
I also wondered what the plus and minuses next to the names mean?
Because of your help I was also able to find an entry on page 54 for two of the sons of Lasse Bengtsson.
Their names are Hakan Lasson and Nils Lasson but I am not able to read the heading above Hakans family and the very light ink writing from the entry of Pernilla Hakans daughter born in 1799 until the entry of Nils Lasson's family.
Could you please help me?

here is page 54

The last column seems to be for a mix of different notes, but in this case it's the date for Lasse's death - confirmed by the death record book:
https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0059561_00191#?c=&m=&s=&cv=190&xywh=-713%2C2305%2C5824%2C3191 (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0059561_00191#?c=&m=&s=&cv=190&xywh=-713%2C2305%2C5824%2C3191)
Plus and minus is, I think, how the person performed in the religious exam. After all that is what this book is for, keeping record of peoples divine knowledge.
The heading over Håkans family read "Ett nytt hus wid Björke Kulls grindar, Barnahuset" - a new house at Birch hills gates, Barna house. It also says Barnaholm, I guess that's the farm on which land this new house was built.
The lines after Pernilla is:
D. Bengta F. 5/1 89 ?? fr(om). Åsum -13
?? Hanna O. ä s. Ola F. 1/5 1814 ? ofvan (above)
O.ä. D. Hanna F. 11/7 16
Hanna??
Marna Nilsd. O.ä. Anders F. 13/10 -16 fostras av...? (raised by ?)
inh. pigan Pernilla Arfvidsd. Slättåkra ?/10 1770
O.ä is oäkta, born out of wedlock

Once again thank you so much!! :) I never would have gotten that! I will look through the rest of the book to see if I can find anymore information about Lasse Bengtsson's parents.
You have really helped me!
:)
