I'm searching any kind of information about Captain Carl Niclas Rehnstrahl who obviously was born in Stralsund in 1684.
He had four children (at least) with Christina Catharina Ekfelt who was born in 1686 herself.
All of their children - of which the first one was born the 9th of september in 1720- were born in Ålspånga, Bettna, Södermanland. Carl Niclas served the army in Södermanlands Regemente I think.
I would appreciate any information about Rehnstrahl's ancestry very much. Do you think his family name was some kind of "soldier name"?

Rehnstrahl Carl Nilsson, born 1684 in Stralsund, private at Drottningens livreg. till fot (the Queens Life Guard infantry regiment) 1704, volunteer at Livdragonreg. (the Royal Dragoon regiment) 1706, sergeant major at Södermanlands regiment 1709 4/10, second ensign there 1710 22/9, second lieutenant there 1712 19/30 Dec., confirmed 1718 26/6, prisoner 1713 16/5 at Tönningen, returned home 1716 in Oct., first lieutenant there 1718 26/6, quartermaster for the regiment 1720 3/9, lieutenant’s office 1724 31/7, captain there 1741 27/10, dismissed 1747 4/6. Lived 1754 on a farm I Lerbo parish. (Participated in the following battles:) Fraustadt, Hälsingborg, Gadebusch, Tönningen. Married 1717 30/10 on Ålspånga in Bettna parish with Christina Catharina Ekfeldt, born 1686 15/9, daughter to the häradshövding (judge in the first instance) Lennart E. and Catharina Bysing.
Children: Catharina Elisabeth b. 1720 9/9 on Ålspånga, Carl b. 1723 16/12 at the same place, Lennart Adolf b. 1728 13/9 at the same place.
