My fourth great grandfather was born Påhl Berndtsson Nov 15, 1767 in Risekatslösa. The first records I can find are of him moving into Helsingborgs and getting married in 1795. His name is now Påhl Fältman. He is listed in the household examination records with the words "reserve karten" before his name. I am assuming that he is a reserve soldier. He must have taken the name Fältman when he was in the military. Where would I look to find his military records? I do not have an information as to where that was. Would I find that he had changed his name?
Thanks
George

Thank you so much for finding this. In the column of before his name it says "Fillborna". Do you know what that means?

Filborna is the place where the two "rusthållen" are located that had to keep the reserve rider.
