Hi
I have looked for the last year trying to find the father of Adolf Fredrik Isaksson 19 Sept. 1850 -30 June 1942. Ekebyborna
Family tradition is that his father died in a drowning accident when Adolf was 2 years old.
The house hold book shows Adolfs mother Brita Karlsdotter living with him...
Any help would be appreciated

His father Isak Jaënsson Älg was born 1791-10-10 i Krigsberg(?). He was widowed 1845. 1850-04-30 he married Britta Carlsdotter born 1814-12-22 in Motala. Their son Adolf Fredrik ws born 1850-09-19, Ekebyborna C:6 (1818-1857) Bild 98 / sid 178 (AID: v37240.b98.s178, NAD: SE/VALA/00073). Isak drowned in Boren 1850-12-07, thus Adolf Fredrik wasn´t even three months old. All that is from the original Household examination record in Ekebyborna AI:9 (1848-1855) Bild 38 / sid 59 (AID: v25406.b38.s59, NAD: SE/VALA/00073) and that is a reference to the digital image found at ArkivDigital, which you can access but you need a subscription.

Hi Lance,

Brita Carlsdotter married the widower Isac Jaensson Älg (Elg) 30 April 1850 in Kristberg (former name Krigsberg).
Kristberg C:6 (1841-1860) p. 16

Brita moved from Kristberg to her husband living at Egeby Sörgård in Ekebyborna, where their son Adolf Fredrik was born 19 Sep 1850.
Ekebyborna C:7 (1840-1857) p. 28
Ekebyborna AI:9 (1848-1855) p. 58 (hand written p. 29)

Isac Jaensson Älg died 7 Dec 1850 when he was sledging on the lake Boren, went through the ice and drowned.
Ekebyborna C:7 (1840-1857) p. 284

Isac Jaensson Älg was born 10 Oct 1791 in Spång, Kristberg, son of Johan Isacsson and Stina Johansdotter.

Thank You so much
I have a question regarding Ekebyborna  AI:9 p 58 hand written p.29

It seems to list a  Maja Lisa Olofsdotter? 1805 13 Dec.. is that a wife?
And is Johan August a son?

Thanks again
All the best

Maja Lisa Olofsdotter was a piga, (house)maid, to Magnus Ryno on top of the page. Johan August was her son out of wedlock – his father's name was Johan Jaensson:
Ekebyborna C:6 (1818-1857) p. 111

Isac Jaensson Älg, his first wife and five children:
Ekebyborna AI:8 (1841-1848) p. 42 (hand written p. 20)

(Earlier spelled Elfvestad, quite near Ekebyborna)
