I would really appreciate help from someone who can access Emigranten Populär records.
After so many years of research I believe I may have finally found the connection between a gggrandmother and the family she came from in Sweden!
Emma Mathilda Gustafsson, born abt 1863 in Borg Östergötland, emigrated to St Paul 14 May 1886
The archive call number is 29:10:407.
If there is any additional information in the Swedish Emigration Records, I would be so grateful to have it.

As always, many thanks to this wonderful community of seekers and helpers,
Kathryn

Bengt -

Thank you for responding.  I have the Household Examination records for this Emma Mathilda, and was wondering if additional information would be found in the actual emigration records  .  .  .  something that would more firmly connect this woman leaving Sweden as the same woman who became the gggrandmother in our family tree.

Do you know if there is anything additional in the records with Emibas archive call number: 29:10:407 ?

This is what you get out with help of the source code. It's a reference to the actual passengerlist and
to her contract no with her travelagent.
In this case you can get that she travelled on S/S Orlando from Gothenburg to Hull on 14 May 1886.
(Below is an extract from actual page - Source Ancestry).
It gives her full name - Where from - Age - Gender and Final destination.

Thank you very much for your response and the information.
I wonder why I was never able to find that on Ancestry when I looked?!

As always, many thanks to the many people who are helping me along this journey,

I did some regular searches, with no result. Instead I went over to check the lists manually.
As I had the date of departure and was a bit lucky, as I picked S/S Orlando first and found that she had a dep. on that date. So simply I looked for that contract no and found her name pretty fast.

I later checked what the index said and in this case - and as too often on Ancestry - it's an obvious
error in the transcribtion. Mathildas surname is written as Gurtefson and I think that might be a reason
of not getting any hits for her in a regular search.
