Research query Looking for Josephine? Holmquist, born i Norrköping, emigrated in 1869 to Chicago, where she died. Her fathers name was Nils Holmquist, born March 26, 1833 in Tuna parish, Södermanland. Josephines family disowned her when she married and moved from her family.
Result From EMIBAS: Augusta Wilhelmina Holmquist, born Nov. 27 1836 in Vadstena. s. Carl Gustaf Nilsson Holmquist, b. April 25, 1863 in Norrköping. d. Johanna Wilhelmina Holmquist, b. July 11 1865 in Norrköping. d. Alma Josefina Nilsdotter Holmquist, b. Oct. 12 1867 in Norrköping They got their letter of emigration on Nov. 4 1870. They then lived at Djäkneberget in Norrköping. Passenger list Nov. 10 1870: They left from Göteborg with ticket to New York. Source code 4:409:456. Husband Nils Holmqvist, born March 26, 1833 in Tuna parish, Södermanland. Occupation: Carpenter trainee. He got his letter of emigration on March 17 1869. He left from Hatten in Norrköping.
