Hello,
Wonder if anybody knows anything about my relatives Andrew Westling and Johan (John) Alfred Westling (later Thelander), who were brothers and left at the same time for Chicago on the 6th of April 1881. They were born in 1858 and 1853 in Lönsås, Östergötland. Andrew married Carolina Gustafsson and they lived in Chicago. They had a son Arthur Westling born in Chicago on the 16th of March 1884. Andrew moved to Pennsylvania around 1930 and we know that Arthur lived in Chicago and had at least one daughter. What happened to them? Johan Alfred changed for some reason his name to Alfred Thelander and died in the Market Street parish on the 20th of November in 1884 leaving his widow and a daughter but no names are given in the obituaries. Could anyone find any information about his widow and their child?
