Karin: Thank you. I am trying to find the birth place and family of my grandfather Johan August Andersson, born May 15, 1855. He went to America in 1876 or 1877 and changed his name to August John Landeen.I do not know why he chose Landeen.He may have come from a small village called Mossebo.I have been looking for almost a year and have not found anything. His death certificate in 1931 said his father was called Nels Landeen and his mother Margarette. I don't know how correct this information is. I will now try and get films of the parish records.
