We have come across the variant spelling "Piconell" in many early records of the family. Is it therefore plausible that this index card for "Piquenelle" -- documenting a November 1706 burial in the financial accounts of St. Johannis, Stralsund -- refers to a child of the younger Steffen Piculell? The child's father's Beruf matches Steffen's rank of Feldwebel and, as noted above, a dombok entry firmly places "Feldtwebell Piculell" in Stralsund that same month (see 3 Dec 2014 post; SE/KrA/0082/I/34, bildid: A0065881_00336).
I don't believe the parish records for St. Johannis are readily accessible online, but perhaps additional information, such as the child's mother's name (first? wife of Steffen Jr. and possibly Andreas's mother), might be found there if so.
