I already have a lot of information about Erik Floberg in the Netherlands, including the baptisms of all his (11) children, seven of whom survived childhood, but so far I failed to find his birthplave or date (although he did write in a letter in April 1793 that his birth date was 7 march ('ok war den 7 mars 58 är gammal'), which is not quite, but almost 2 March ;-).
What we really would like to know is when and why he came to Holland (the first mentioning we found of him is in 1760, when he lived in Rotterdam, after his marriage (1771) there he lived in Amsterdam). An odd detail is that at first he called himself Jurri (= Göran), but it was only after his removal to Amsterdam in 1771 he was called Eric.
