I am a descendent of Jons Olsson b. 1694, Jonas Jonsson Brunzell b. 1773, and Magnus Brunzell b. 1772 and have been doing genealogical research for the last two years. I have just discovered this web site and have learned a great deal about this family. Thank you all so much for this information. I have several questions that I hope someone can help me with.
In his post dated 20 Dec 2006, Sven-Ove Brattström states that Jonas was in service as a miller at the castle between 1761 and 1763. Can you tell me something about this castle? Where was it located? Did it have a name? Who were the occupants?
Magnus Brunzell's birth or christening record 12 Jan 1772 in Arvika calls his father Huskarlon Jonas Jonsson. What was a huskarlon at that time? Also, this record appears to call his mother Eva Henningsdotter, not Hendriksdotter and not Hammarin. Can you explain?
